Job Description: As a Purchase Executive your foremost duty involves skillfully uncovering and acquiring the essential goods and services the company needs, all while securing the most favourable prices and adhering to set schedules.
- Strategic Procurement: Developing and executing a strategic procurement plan to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for the organisation.
- Vendor Management: Identifying, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating favourable terms and contracts to optimise procurement processes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and compliance of procured goods and services with established standards and specifications.
- Budget Management: Managing and controlling the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports.
- Team Leadership: Leading and managing the procurement team, setting goals, and providing guidance and mentorship.
- Market Analysis: Keeping up with the market trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 or more years of experience in procurement or a related position
- Proficiency in procurement practices, contract negotiation, and specification drafting
- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management software
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
